2 months

It has been two months since our sweet little Kiari entered this world. She still isn’t even due for another week and a half. And as sad as I am to say it, she still isn’t home either. She is still in the NICU. She is healthy and well. She has even gained 4 pounds and now weighs 7 1/2 pounds. She is having more awake times and is starting to show her personality. Part of that personality is stubbornness. She has a set amount that she has to eat and a time frame in which to eat it… and she isn’t doing it. When she gets to a point where she is done, she means it and will not let the bottle enter her mouth. Or if you do happen to get the bottle between her gums, she holds her mouth open and refuses to suck or swallow. If it weren’t so stinking frustrating, it would be kind of funny.

I am getting ready to get a few classes on my schedule and hopefully get some pieces posted up for sale. If I don’t get some money in here quickly then I will need to shut down my site and business as I cannot pay the bills as the money has now been drained and we have more hospital bills piling up and coming in. I hate to see the final total for Kiari’s 2 month stay in the NICU. That is going to be HUGE!
Yesterday I had surgery on my ear. Due to some of the ear infections that I have had recently and subsequent tube placement, I was left with a nice rupture in the eardrum. The surgery yesterday was to repair that rupture. Hopefully it takes.

We are in the middle of the big Snowmageddon that is going on right now. I am not quite sure how many inches of snow and ice we got, but it wasn’t as much as some people got… thank goodness. I hope you are all keeping warm and safe.

These are a couple of gifts that our baby, also known as Fruit Loops, received from friends. They were to cute to not share.

OMG!! Arent’ those just the two cutest you’ve ever seen? 7.5 pounds sounds great and I hope she’s home soon. Good luck to all of you.

I haven’t been able to follow any email or groups or much of anything for a few months now but when I saw this post I had to read it to see how you were doing. What lovely little girls you have.

Fruit Loops may be giving you a hard time now but it’s just that stubborn spirit that brought her through this to you. I think I’d celebrate that spirit. She’ll eat when she’s hungry and at 7 1/2 lbs by her delivery date sure seems to be a great acomplishment.

Glad I got a moment to say “hi” and see how wonderfully well FL is doing.

Still saying prayers here for you all.
